We are looking for a Web/UI Designer to join Bluesky Interactive, a fully bespoke, digital agency specialising in the automotive industry. You will be responsible for interpreting user website requirements, wireframing these for internal review and then creating full high fidelity concepts with consideration for the development of the UI and components.

The role will predominantly be working closely with a team of front end developers and key stakeholders. Using and building on established design systems, you will handover complete site UI and layouts having taken into account how these will then be coded up. There is also likely to be opportunities to help design software products (vehicle searches etc) as well.

Responsibilities

  • Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with project managers, sales and developers.
  • Design graphic user interface elements, like menus, tabs and widgets, page navigation buttons and search fields
  • Develop UI mockups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how sites function and look like
  • Prepare and present rough drafts and finished web pages to internal teams and key stakeholders and sometimes clients.
  • Be able to Identify and troubleshoot UX problems (e.g. responsiveness)
  • Conduct layout adjustments based on user feedback
  • Adhere to branding standards on fonts, colors and images

Requirements

  • Proven work experience as a UI/Web Designer
  • Portfolio of design projects
  • Knowledge of wireframe tools
  • Up-to-date knowledge of design software like XD/Figma and Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop
  • Good knowledge of HTML/CSS and at least an understanding of Javascript.
  • Team spirit; strong communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders and a genuinely positive enthusiastic approach.
  • Good time-management skills and the ability to work iteratively.
