As Bluesky Interactive's Creative Director, I'm used to dealing with some challenging situations, but I think I've found something far more intense than anything the world of automotive internet marketing can throw at me!

Between 24th May and 2nd June, my girlfriend and I are trekking Peru's Inca Trail on behalf of Ronald McDonald House Charities. It's 42 miles in 5 days, and there will be extremes of temperature, very basic camping, high altitude and rough terrain to contend with. It promises to be tough.

We will be funding the trip ourselves so all the money raised through sponsorship of the trip will go towards achieving RMHC's ambitious Five Year Strategy of doubling the amount of rooms they provide for families with children in hospitals around the UK.

RMHC was established in the UK in 1989 as an independent, registered charity supporting families with children in hospital. RMHC provides free 'home away from home' accommodation for the families of children requiring in-patient care in hospitals and hospices across the UK. When a child is admitted to hospital the family can find the time pressures and cost of travelling to and from the hospital very stressful. RMHC helps to support families through this difficult time by providing free accommodation in or near the hospital where families can be together and benefit from the support of other families facing similar situations.
